Plugged Gas Wells

The data field, Plugged Gas Wells, represents the number of once gas productive, but now plugged, wells in a Petroleum Field. The count does not include former gas wells that have been converted for some other use.

Plugged Gas Wells is a value in the  Gas Field Summary portion of the Field and Production Summary.

The number of Plugged Gas Wells in the petroleum field is retrieved by:

  1. Querying the PDMS for wells that fall within the Field Outline that;

  2. Contain IGS Petroleum Well Symbol Codes corresponding to both gas productive and plugged:

At least for the short term, well counts and Pay Zone Summaries for NAS fields and fields they overlap may not be correct because wells in a NAS field that overlaps a non-NAS field may share some of the same wells. This is a design issue that will be corrected when time permits.
