The Gas Field Summary table is found to the right of the General Field Information Section on the Field and Production Summary page.
The summary contains information specifically related to natural gas production in the specified Petroleum Field.
The Gas Field Summary contains the following data:
Natural gas production volumes are not reported to the public in Indiana, and unlike the case for oil production histories, there is no commercial entity that collects records of gas production by well, by lease, or by field in Indiana. The only publicly released report of produced natural gas is a composite amount representing the entire state. Each month this number is reported to the Division of Oil and Gas (DOG) and they subsequently report that information in the DOG Monthly Reports of Activity. The severance tax collected that during the month for the entire state is also reported.
Some general production information on natural gas production is available for a few fields. These data would be included in the Gas Field Comments section of the Gas Field Summary.
At least for the short term, well counts and Pay Zone Summaries for NAS (New Albany Shale Fields) may not be correct because wells in a NAS field that overlaps a non-NAS field may share some of the same wells. This is a design issue that will be corrected when time permits.
