The IGWS bookstore has moved.
Item Number: OFS01-33
Map Scale: 1:100,000

ANNOTATION: This map shows bedrock geology in the Indianapolis 1:100,000-scale quadrangle. The map was created by modeling rock unit boundary surfaces with computer gridding and contouring software and then locating subcrop lines by computing the intersections between rock unit boundary surfaces and the bedrock surface shown in OFS 01-32. Structure control is shown for the top of the Sanders Group (top of Salem Limestone) and top of the Muscatatuck Group (top of the North Vernon Limestone).

Hasenmueller, W. A., James, C. L. 2001, Reconnaissance map showing thickness of unconsolidated deposits in the Indianapolis 30 X 60 minute quadrangle, central Indiana: Indiana Geological Survey Open-File Study 01-33

Notes: Publications in the Indiana Geological Survey Open-File series have been inconsistently named using a variety of series titles including "Open-File Report," "Open-File Map," and "Open-File Study." Prior to 1994, a publication in this series was generally referred to as an "Open-File Report" (but not always). To help reduce confusion created by these inconsistencies, the IGS now refers to every publication in the Open-File series as an "Open-File Study." To be entirely correct in writing a bibliographic reference for a publication, one should use the series name and number that appears on the publication itself.

Scale: 1:100,000. Full color.
