See definition and detailed explanation (Recommended!): Well Number
Enter a Well Number to limit Search Results to wells with a matching number (it is possible for multiple wells to have the same number).
Only one Well Number may be sought in any single search.
The Search Results will include only those wells that match the Well Number and all of the additional criteria specified in the search.
Remember that matching only a small portion of a long, composite Well Number will likely retrieve more wells and will have less chance of skipping some wells intended to be found in the search.
Great variety exists in the format and use of Well Numbers in the PDMS, a result of many things: operators sometimes change numbers they assign to a well, typographical errors made on the permits, data entry mistakes, no set standard, and so forth.
A number of different Well Numbers may be associated with a single well, depending on the well's history. A correct match of the search name for any of a well's Events will return the corresponding well in the Search Results. However, because the default Search Results list for multiple results displays only the most recent Well Event for each well, the matching number will not be displayed on the list. To see the matched Well Number in such cases, it is necessary to click the button: "Click here to see all Well Events."
