The average permeability of the reservoir rock that is used for storage of natural gas in the subject field.
The Average Permeability is manually entered in the Gas Storage Field Summary. The value was originally obtained from the Field Operator, and is subsequently reported in either IGS Special Report 01, Underground storage of natural gas in Indiana, 1963 or <IGS Special Report 59, Underground storage of natural gas in Indiana (revised), 1998> .
Permeability is a common petroleum industry parameter used to evaluate a potential reservoir. The unit measure of the ease that a fluid flows through a reservoir. It is measured in units called millidarcies.
