The Geological Materials Testing Facility was completed in 1925 and is the primary location for ASTM testing of Indiana's primary dimension stone, the Salem Limestone. The GMTF also serves as the primary storage facility for several sample collections and contains approximately 50 to 60 boxes of unconsolidated sediment cores.
