Biography

Garrett is the Quaternary Stratigraphy and Geochronology (OSL) Laboratory Technician at the Indiana Geological and Water Survey (IGWS). In this role, he collaborates with the IGWS' lead Surficial Geologists to analyze, describe and date Quaternary Geologic samples. Prior to this position, he served as the Collections Technician for the IGWS, where he oversaw the Geophysical testing facility and assisted with field activities.

In addition to his work at the IGWS, Garrett is pursuing a Master's degree in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Indiana University. His research, conducted in collaboration with IGWS researchers Jose Luis Antinao and Henry Loope, focuses on the use of statistical modeling to improve the precision of BOSL/IRSL dating.
